Ontario Independence Day Parade

Esperanza Scholarship Foundation Dollars for Scholars Float wins Community Service Award

The Esperanza Scholarship Foundation Dollars for Scholars annually participates in the Ontario 4th of July Parade with the encouraged volunteer work from alumni and scholars. At this event, newly selected scholars have the opportunity to complete part of their required hours of community service, while being offered an opportunity to network with other alumni and celebrate our country's independence.

July 4, 2018: Two ESFDFS Interns plus 11 volunteers participated in the Ontario Independence Day Parade; this year's them was to honor our generous donors and thank them for supporting 85 scholarships for 2018-19. Eleven of our Scholarship recipients assisted our Interns in decorating the float under the guidance of Board Member Tom Burciaga. Once again they did a great job and the float won the Community Service Trophy--way to go team!!!
